The Thowgla Community Recovery Committee (the committee) is to give a voice to the broad views and recovery goals of bushfire affected community members in the Thowgla Valley, and to liaise between our community, Towong Shire Council, Bushfire Recovery Victoria, community service organisations and other stakeholders to address recovery objectives of the wider Upper Murray community, where possible.

Specifically, the committee will advocate for our community, provide assistance to other existing community groups and organisations to formalise their priorities and achieve their funding and project goals. Our committee will oversee community recovery and support recovery efforts for our community.
